Agent Jamie Weiss Chilton (With Andrea Brown literary Agency) and editor Emily Easton (Director at Walker Books for Young Readers/Bloomsbury Publishing, Inc.) have agreed to anonymously review the portfolios of illustrators attending the SCBWI conference here in San Diego, CA.
It will work like this – (exact timing to be determined):
Illustrators will turn in their portfolios to the registration desk. The portfolios will be taken to a room where the editor and agent will look through each portfolio and mark with a sticky note those illustrations they think are ready for publication and with a different color sticky note those illustrations they think have potential.
At the end of the conference illustrators will be able to pick up their portfolios and have feedback on which pieces are the strongest and which did not work for the reviewers.
There will be no fee to participate, but you must be attending the conference. However, because this is coming after early registration discounts have expired, illustrators can use the coupon code “Illustrator” to get $15 off the conference registration. For more info on the conference see:

Those who have signed up for In-person Illustration Critiques will be able to have their portfolios reviewed by the editor and agent as well.
